Need advice on using A9

Hi, using my A9 to treat a herniated disc. Just got the 2x2 and used it first time today. I let it run at max for several hours and got a red X. Can someone help me know how long and at what intensity I should be running the A9 with a 2x2 coil without any issues with heating. I’ve noticed today using the 2x2 coils that my leg feels so much better, but I’ve obviously ran my little A9 to hard and I don’t want to make that mistake again. Thank you!

@Bob can chime in on this one. I haven’t had the red x yet (I haven’t tried the 2x2 with the A9) so don’t have experience to share.

Thank you. Ive turned it down to medium and havent had that happen again. I think I was unknowingly pushing the machine too hard. Thank you so much for your reply.

Smart experiment - curious if that stops it for good

Hi @leslieacope,
The red X indicates that the device was drawing too much power for the circuit. Running for long periods at full power can sometimes cause that, especially when using maximum electrical load, such as a 2x2 coil array or a coil splitter to run multiple coils.

It is sort of like driving a car at 100 MPH for a long period of time. Yes, it might be able to do that, but it is rough on the car and will probably cause some warning lights to come on.

Other things that can cause the Red X are that the coils might not be plugged in all the way, and be sure to insert firmly, and check from time to time that they have not slipped loose.

I suggest you try the next lower power setting “H”, which actually works better than “X” for most people. Also keep the coil plug fully inserted, and also make sure the A9 unit itself is well ventilated to dissipate heat.
