Applying PEMF to head (Hair Loss, sleep, etc benefits?)

the dreaming continues but nothing vivid…

the hair fallout has noticeably reduced. in fact, when applying gel to comb my hair and running ands thru my hair, there’s always been hair falling out and left in my hands. this last time there was none!

this observation comes about 5 nights of minimum 4 hours of usage (avg 5h) on theta frequency (few days on Omni and once on Delta)… my supplements have not changed nor routine nor diet in any meaningful way.

Thanks. This is really important to know, and the people running the main study will be very interested to hear about it.

My family and I came down with a cold that made us very fatigued. I have never had issues bouncing back with full energy, but this cold is different - over a week later and I still am heavily fatigued. I have had my p9 in my pocket during this time but haven’t worn the hat. I have been taking naps, using HBOT and infrared sauna, drinking lots of water with electrolytes, and loading up on various supplements, to no avail. I put that hat on about 5 hours ago, Alpha, power 9, and within 1 hour I felt like myself again - energized. I will take the hat off to sleep tonight but will wear it again tomorrow. I personally don’t think this is a coincidence and am grateful to feel energetic again.

Update: the ICES PEMF hat has knocked the fatigue. Strong day of energy. What a blessing.

hey… hope you recover soon!

Just a general update on the hat and my experience. I’ve been wearing 5-6 nights out of the week for the last 2wks. I have been keeping the pulse on Theta for about a week and just glad to be having dreams now. I’m gonna try the delta state to see how that affects my sleep.

with that said, I am happy to report/notice that hair fallout is noticeably less during showers… for certain there is no longer hair on my hands when gelling my hair like it used to always have. That has been consistent from what I remember before the magneto hat. As for growing hair… I can’t yet say, but I definitely sleep with that hat for brain and any local/related head benefits that come along with it!

I haven’t been using during days though… also notice i don’t zonk out during the day… never stopped to look for that effect, but now that i think of it, it’s great to not fall asleep or get drowsy while working in the afternoon!

hmmm… I’ve also noticed my scalp has been a bit dry and patchy…i can see white dry scalp along my hairline… some flakiness… wonder if anyone has had similar symptoms. it’s not itchy tho… not sure if it’s some kind of reaction to pemf

I believe I noticed the same thing when I first started using the hat. I don’t seem to have the issues after a couple weeks of use though nor do I have the itchy scalp any more when using it. I wonder if it is some sort of detox symptom at first - Itchy scalp, flakiness then it seems to resolve.

ok thx for your feedback… the patchiness is less noticeable and flakiness is definitely better after about 2 weeks of noticing.

there’s no doubt my hair is not falling out like it used to and i can’t confirm this, but my receding hairline does not look as pronounced… will see how it goes, but I’ve been happy with the results so far.

That’s awesome to hear. Have you noticed any other non local effects? (I noticed how my impinged shoulder pain stopped).

i haven’t had any other pain or old injuries for me to notice any change. however, now that I’m taking a closer look at my scalp, it’s white and flaky along the hairline… enough so my wife is a bit concerned wondering what I’m “doing to my head” 🤦🏽… trying to explain that it must be part of a healing process (detox effect), doesn’t help ease concern. so with her faith in conventional care (smh) she thinks i need to go to a doctor to get some kind of cream.

sigh… that’s the last thing i need to do. this white flakiness along the hairline has been noticeable for about 2 weeks now(?)

i should start journaling this… well… this place is kind of my place to journal. I think I’ll continue here…

Scalp acupuncture seems relevant to this topic since scalp PEMF more than likely stimulates scalp acupuncture points. I have used information in this book to place rare earth magnets on my scalp for the treatment of depression and also vertigo and the results were astonishing. https://www.amazon.com/Chinese-Scalp-Acupuncture-Jason-Ji-shun/dp/1891845608/ref=sr_1_8?crid=25VUQPS2J20T7&keywords=scalp+acupuncture+book&qid=1700890423&sprefix=Scalp+acu%2Caps%2C516&sr=8-8

just wanted to add another thank you and observation to what happened in using the hat today. woke up with an annoying 3-4/10 headache… likely from catching something this weekend from lack of sleep and exposure to a lot of people at a wedding reception and crowded airports and no thanks to lack of sleep (avg 4h)…

i usually don’t get headaches so I’m a big baby when i do get them. i put on the hat and rested in bed for 15 mins…poof! all gone! i have used the standard coils in different ways without such quick results before. maybe it’s placement, but i typically place them where i feel the pain. however, cause of pain could be somewhere completely different too and that’s why i don’t get relief the few times I have tried with standard coils.

love it and thank you!

I’ve been using the hat pretty regularly and there have been a few times it’s been placed under my pillow when my wife has tried tucking it away if i haven’t put it away… a few times it’s been lightly folded when under the pillow… the cable is intact, but i was wondering if you have a tester or anyway yet for us to test our hats to make sure they’re still functioning properly.

We don’t have a way to do this yet, but you might try holding a small piece of aluminum foil over where the coils are. You’ll need to experiment a bit, but you could start with a 2" x 2" square (approximate) of aluminum foil. It should greatly amplify the clicking sound if the coils are working.

Not hearing clicking does not mean that the coils are not working. It means that this way of hearing the clicks probably needs to be adjusted until it works well.

Once we have a contract to develop an actual hat insert product, then I can start designing a test device and instructions. But that’s all part of the long product development process.

I have a general question for anyone who tried the ICES-PEMF hat during the recent pilot study:

Did any women try the hat for hair thinning or regrowth? We have pretty promising results for men with hair loss, but we only have one female subject who reported results (which were promising).

So, it would be really helpful if anyone had a female spouse try it for hair thinning or loss. Any information you have would be very useful. Thanks.

if there were a way to stop the ticking sound, I’d be able to get my wife to actually try it out for longer than 10 mins (or really used at night)… otherwise she’d likely be more encouraged to use it at night

we’ll see how much of the clicking we can prevent if we get to an actual production run of the hat inserts. But during the field testing a good size fraction of the people said they actually liked the clicking sound, it let them know the thing was working.

I wish I could figure out how to make the clicking sound an optional feature… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

funny bc my mom likes the ticking. she uses the standard coils sandwiched on opposing sides of head. she says it helps her go to sleep haha. hmmm… maybe my wife should wear noise cancellation headphones with the hat

I don’t have the hat but I use the c5 double coils with a headband. I’ve noticed a lot less shedding and breakage. Not sure if that’s helpful…lol.

That is helpful, thanks.
Other information that would be very helpful if you want to share:
What pulse pattern (Omni-8?)
What intensity setting?
How often and how long did you use the device each time?
Did you notice any adverse effects?

thanks in advance!
