A9, Coils positioning for pars fracture / facet atrophy

Hello,
I just got a second round a stem cells treatment in my lower back to help unionize a pars fracture as well as regenerating my severely arthritic facet joints.
I’ve been using my A9 8-12 hours a day in the side by side configuration in my lower back, on H intensity. Does this set up is appropriated, or should I do one coil on top of the other one?
Many thanks

I usually get slightly better results with stacked coils rather than side-by-side. But it depends on the location and type of injury I have. There are no simple rules, I just need to experiment in each case to see what works best for me in each case.

Thank you Bob. For now I’m completely painless but I will experiment.

@Bob, I have placed the A9 device on my dog neck to help with the pain caused by her degenerative disk disease. Despite my best effort to secure everything she managed to unplug the coils while the A9 was still turned on, I don’t know for how long. Can this damage the device?
Thank you

Generally no. Try to avoid a very small unplugging of the coils (just about 1 mm) because that can short the device out. It is protected against this, but if you just keep running it with an output short for a long time, that can damage the device.

@Tundra I read your google review 3 weeks ago, in it you said you went for a repeat procedure 13 weeks after the first op but mainly focusing on your arthritic facets. You said you had connective tissue on your MRI but still had some residual back pain. Were you using the A9 device during the first 13 weeks or did you only start after the second procedure you had 3 weeks ago? You also mentioned above that you are completely painless now. Do you attribute this to the second procedure or the use of the A9 device? I had my PRF procedure 3.5 weeks ago for bilateral pars fractures extending into the facets but just got my A9 delivered today. Wondering what expectation I should reasonably set for myself.

Hi @brokeback ,
No I was not using the A9. I learnt about the existence of bone growth stimulators only after my first procedure and ordered a CMF Spinal Logic. I started to use it 4 weeks post procedure, 30mn a day as you can not do more with this specific model. I was also serious with my posture, diet, etc.
I went for a second round because even if bridging were visible on my 13 weeks post-op MRI, I wanted to accelerate the process to be as recovered as possible for August (my fiancée due date for our first child)
I’m 4 weeks from my second procedure and I’ve been using the A9 only for the past week, in combination with the CMF and red light therapy (bought a 200 CAD$ belt on amazon, lifepro is the brand). I’ve just learnt about PEMF.
To be honest I can not pinpoint exactly what is making me painless, probably a combination of everything. I’m still very cautious (no bending/twisting), but walk approx 15 Km on relatively flat ground everyday totally pain free.

Anecdotally, my dog is suffering from severe disks bulge in her neck causing flare up that can last weeks even with a combination gabapentin/oxy/Metacam. She spent two nights with the A9 stuck on her neck and hasn’t showed signs of pain since.
I will continue to experiment on her -and me-

My expectations after the first procedure was “I hope that I will at least build some connective tissue in my 8mm wide pars fracture in order to stabilize, even so slightly, my spine”. They were surpassed as some ossification were already happening.
So stay positive, the chances of having a good outcome are pretty high!
(And don’t start to lose you good habits when you begin to feel less pain)
