Upgrade from a9 to c5?

I own two a9’s and I run them approximately 16 hours a day. I noticed that the pulsing patterns are not working when I run them too long on a high setting. SO I can safely run them on LOW for 16 hours a day. A few hours at a time I can run them on High.

I bought my second a9 as a backup a 2 weeks ago. I’ve been using both simultaneously and have been loving it.

I do notice a difference in penetration depth between the settings of low and high. I measure with a trimeter.

For purpose of reaching my sigmoid colon and rectum I would like to run my device on a high setting for long periods 16 hours daily approx.

For those who have upgraded from an a9 to a c5>>>
Would I be able to run the c5 at higher intensities than the a9 for longer periods?
How would you compare the c5 to the a9 in terms of power?
Are you able to run 4 of the 2x2 arrays no problem? ( im interested in this becuase i would like to target larger areas)

thank you

I would guess that the reason your seeing that behavior with the A9 is due to battery performance. I use a LiPo battery in my A9, though I do not typically run it on X intensity I do often run it all night on H and do not see the behavior you are experiencing. I haven’t tried it but I’m lead to understand the battery can be plugged in and charging while in use in the A9 (I can give this a try later tonight to see if it indeed functions this way).

Yes you can run 4 2x2 coils (I have the mat made of 4 of these for use with my C5). I haven’t run it for 16 hours, but certainly throughout the night; 8-10, possibly even 12 hours. In terms of power, it’s my understanding that the C5 is basically 4 output channels that are more or less the same as the single A9 output channel. However the C5 has many mor protocols, and more granular intensity control. The C5 is designed to be plugged into a 5 volt power supply, which means you wouldn’t run into issues of battery depletion as I suspect you are experiencing with your A9. Of course you can also power the C5 from a USB power bank if mobility is desired/required.

Best of luck!

thanks for the advice. I run it on high, not X and encounter this problem. I do have the adapter and can run my own experiment too. Will try this tonight. If i can run the device on high all night that would be great.

Do you notice any intensity differences between the a9 and c5? In the beginning my a9 would show the red x when running on max , so i don’t use that intensity. If i use the audio splitter on H i get the red x as well. Do you think the c5 can run these setups no problem? I have to a9’s now and am enjoying doing two areas. Trying to see if a c5 is a sound purchase for me.

Let me loop in @Bob, who would be the ultimate expert on this topic. I haven’t used the audio splitter, but my guess would be that using the slpitter in combination with two 2x2 arrays and the highest or next to highest intensity is creating enough impeadance that the resonance circuit is slightly out of range.

All devices are the same intensity when running with enough power. What you can do with the c5 is stack up to 8 coils together to reach maximum deepnes. Or 2x4 or 4x2. I did 4x2 in an 2x2 configuration. Also you can switch programs in case of habituation.

Another option is the P9 with bouild-in stacked coils. That gives 20% more intensity than a M1/C5 with standard stacked coils.

Issue with a C5: Its bigger and you need a power-bank. Not nice when running around.

I like the idea that you can stack the coils. I would like to experiment with stacking the 2x2 coils. I don’t mind the lack of portability. Having 4 ports is appealing…
How big is the mat that you were talking about and what do you use it for?
is it really helpful having various programs?

Ok. I wasnt planning on using a splitter for the 2x2. I was just asking that if I use the audio splitter on the c5 at higher intensity would I get a red x like my a9. if i use the splitter i now only use it on low only.

I do not know if you can stack the 2x2. I would also use no splitter on them. Search the forum: I did pictures of various coil configs. Also I would never give up on the different programs on M1, C5, B5, P9. There are applications for that in migraines, brain entrainment, sleep, etc. You have to try. Its a lot about trying! Therefore we (me and my wife) own 2xM1 (most flexible), 1xP9 and a B5,

Here my review about the B5: https://hcfricke.com/2024/05/29/pemf-teil-5-ices-c5-b5-wenn-es-etwas-oder-individualisiertes-pemf-sein-darf-ein-erfahrungs-update/ - use the translate function of your browser. It shows different coil configs,

I have never gotten a red led on my A9. Here is the link to the pad. https://www.micro-pulse.com/collections/frontpage/products/pad-for-model-c5

Any time you add longer wires or more connectors, the output power will be degraded. Depends on the quality of the wire, connector, etc, but you can expect a degradation of at least 10%, probably more. You can compensate somewhat for the power loss by increasing intensity about 2 higher levels on the M1/C5/B5, or one higher level on the A9.

Thanks Bob. Loving my a9. Ordering a c5 and trying to learn about the device.

THanks for this. Great article
