Thyroid nodules

I have read that PEMS might be helpful with thyroid issues. I have subclinical hyperthyroid and two small thyroid nodules. We monitor both annually, and things have been fine for the last 8 years.

I would like to see if I could eliminate or shrink the thyroid nodules. They are referred to as “toxic nodules”, and from what I gather, it’s toxins that have accumulated in the tissue. They are not cancerous, just there and relatively small (less than 1cm each). If I can eliminate or shrink them, then my metabolism should shift back to normal, which would alleviate some symptoms.

Any experience or thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks for helping with this!

Yes, I think so. I will bring it to the attention of our web manager.
Thanks, I had just noticed this too.

You’re welcome let’s hope our nodules just dissolve away :pray:t4:

I’m sorry, I don’t see the reply to this. I have a patient who has a thyroid nodule with recommendations for lobectomy. I’m interested to see if pemf could reduce size.

Also, are there any precautions for use perioperatively?

Nodules are multifaceted. It depends on the whole ultrasonic result, size of the nodule, if it is a “hot” nodule, and the blood work with the relevant antibodies test.

In the simplest case ordinary small thyroid nodules can be cause by to little progesterone, like when using hormonal contraception. Another thing would be Hashimoto, again depending on the circumstances.

I think this is nothing I would use ICES for or would expect no resolution of the issue. I would look for a real expert in that regard.

Thank you. What about after lobectomy?
