Sleep - What did not work for me with my M1

I just started experimenting with my MI yesterday - so, keep that in mind as you read.
I used the Omni 8 protocol twice on the Lower right side of my neck for a tight muscle. The first time the 2 coils were side by side horizontally at power level 8, and I laid down with them in place to take a nap. Could not get to sleep as I usually can. The second trial was at the same location but the side by side coils were verticle, and I reduced the power to 6. I did this 2 hrs and 19 min. before going to bed, when I took off the coils. This time I had unusual difficulty falling asleep and my sleep was very restless.

LESSON LEARNED: Don’t use Omni 8 on the neck (or head area) close to bed time, or in bed, as it will keep me from falling asleep. As a side note, both tests did relax my tight neck muscle.

If insomnia is the issue I want to relate something that has worked better for me than anything else I’ve tried (herbs, drugs, devices)–and I’ve tried everything. Note that of course ambien works and large doses of benadryl and other drugs work more or less but they are definitely not good for you on a regular basis–or at all.

Simply this: 3 grams glycine and 1000mg magnesium glycinate before bed. No side effects, no risks–in fact both are actually good for you. When I wake up during the night i take a liquid theanine/GABA supp. Anyway, don’t know if this will work on everyone but it solved a problem for me that’s been going on forever…and hopefully keeps working (2 months so far).

The location on you neck where you are using the device is where the vagus nerve is located. Stimulating the vagus nerve can cause increased energy, this may be why you may be experience what sounds like the opposite effect.

You could try using the Delta wave setting on your M1 on and place it on your head an hour before you want to go to sleep. Research where the best location would be for that use.

I use a Truvaga Plus on my neck vagus nerve and it actually calms me down.

Thanks! Actually that is a problem area my wife is having. We’ll try it and let you know.

Nice to know. Thank you for mentioning this. Big fan of vagus nerve stimulation. I’ve also read were stimulating the vagus nerve on the abdomen with S9 helps with sleep. Will definitely try your idea.

That’s great! I also take 3 grams glycine and take 1g tri-mag (Davinci Labs) and 1g Magensium L Threonate and it really helps my sleep quailty. I also use the Neurovizr Deep Sleep program which increases my deep sleep even more.

Use the low frequency settings for sleep! Low Hz brain wave pattern. Its also a business of “getting used to”.

Glycine works for me also. I’m getting 8 to 9 hours of sleep. I usually can only get 5 to 6 without glycine.
