So back in May I had a hip replacement at the old age of 45!
Went well, but unfortunately I had a superficial tissue infection 3 weeks later. This was, to be honest, quite traumatic with a week in hospital then daily IVs for 6 weeks, followed by another 6 weeks of oral antibiotics.
Because I’m quite into biohacking, I’d been using red light therapy, PEMF and Hyperbaric Oxygen in the first few weeks but stopped everything when I was readmitted. I was scared I had pushed by body to heal to quickly and somehow contributed to the infection
Im now trying to get myself back into using things to help with the recovery. Red Light is helping it id really like to reintroduce PEMF. I have an M1 and have been eyeing up a full body system too
But I read on the Spectra website not to use PEMF near any active infection which has got me doubting its use again… just in case anything is lingering
Probably silly, but that’s the way trauma hits the brain! Any reassurances? I’d love to gently help my hip recover.
