PEMF mitohormesis is the beneficial release of small amounts of calcium from TRPC1 channels. The Ca2+ feeds back to the mitochondria. The intermediate filament desmin connects the two. I’m wondering if ICES see any difference in their muscle’s response to PEMF while in eccentric contraction?
I wonder if ICES could be good for these desminopathies.
