PEMF for Pudendal Neuralgia

Has anyone successfully used ICES PEMF for treating Pudendal Neuralgia? It is primarily nerve pain which tends to be difficult to treat. I basically use the coils under my bottom when I sleep and I find relief although dealing with it during the day is very challenging because I can’t really sit for long as the nerve compression pain is there. Anyone had success with this and can share what they did as far as the settings, coil placement, and other healing maintenance through the day?

I also have a nerve disorder, but there is no pain involved. Instead it is a demylinating disorder that causes numbness and eventual paralysis of the connecting muscles. The C5 has been the best tool I’ve found for this. I use the mat, 4 2x2s, sold my micro-pulse. Like you I sleep with it under my hips at night - or my shoulders (I’ve been swimming more and ICES is magic when it comes to muscle recovery). I guess I’m lucky that I have a desk job, so I rotate the mat between my feet and butt, sometimes I’ll use separate 2x2s on my legs or shoulders. I am energy sensitive though, so I have it in really low settings 2 or 3).

I’ve heard of people using wraps or belts to help secure the coils when mobile. I’ve done this with Ace bandages around my legs when needed.

Thanks I will check out the mat. On the C5, is there any particular protocol you stick with or do you rotate between a few?

I usually prefer Omni-8 but will occasionally use the B5-C5, or even the Schumann 4 or 5. I switch for the variety, when I am treating the same area for a longer period, outside of sleep. Personally, I think the B5-C5 protocol to be most effective. I just prefer the Omni-9, it “feels” the most comfortable and I’ve had success with it. (could be related to the fact that I’m extra sensitive to electro-magnetic fields)
