I have used high intensity PEMF (Pulse system) as well as ICES, and one thing I noticed is how PEMF affects my dreams. PEMF is not only a physical healing modality, but for emotional and energetic healing also. Oftentimes I have dreams that are very intense and vivid and bring up old mind patterns that need to be released. I call them purging dreams.
In the past two days when using ICES PEMF during the daytime and evening, I’ve had purging dreams that allowed me to revisit and process some memories from the past. One day it was my best friend from high school. The person who I thought she was- bright, cheerful, always smiling and energetic but who I subconsciously knew was carrying trauma and wearing a kind of people pleasing mask over it was revealed in full clarity in the dream and how much pain she was carrying. The next day I had another dream of a coworker from 10 years ago where there was a mutual attraction and I had made certain mistakes that pushed him away and could not resolve it and never saw him again. The remorse and regret of it came up to be processed as he came to me in my dream and sat down to talk to me. In both situations (and in several other of my PEMF purging dreams), they were things that had been buried in some kind of emotional wound or unresolved trauma. I keep a journal to record physical as well as mental/emotional things that come up. There’s a book called “The Body keeps the Score” which talks about how trauma and emotional pain is stored in our tissues in the body and when the body and tissues/muscles are stimulated or penetrated in some healing way, it allows for the stored stuff to release. This is what I experience with PEMF… often even while laying awake with the ICES PEMF device on I experience a kind of Yoga Nidra like state- in between sleep and waking. And usually I am lucid to various degrees in those purging dreams which allows me to understand what’s going on.
