P9 pajamas

Hello folks. I recently purchased a P9 for my 10 year old rottweiler. He has had an active life and is now experiencing back pain. He has been taking pain medication for several years, with the frequency and variety increasing over time. Generally, his discomfort had been kept in check until July. He seemed to turn a corner and his discomfort significantly increased. I found myself giving additional pain meds and exploring chiropractic and accupuncture. Unfortunately, these were all falling short of prolonged relief.

I had been considering PEMF but had yet to move forward with it until I had pretty well exhausted all other options short of surgery. I had concerns of exciting any undiscovered cancer that may be lurking, so had reservations. Some imaging and tests showed little indication of cancer so I decided it was time to explore PEMF. I scheduled my dog for a session with a Magnawave unit and the results were astonishing. He slept! He fully relaxed and slept. My dog had been unable to relax due to discomfort unless he was thoroughly drugged. The difference from only one session of PEMF was a game changer.

After investigating various manufacturers and options, I tripped over the ICES units and loved the information and open disclosures. I found myself in a slightly rushed situation as I was going out of town shortly and I wanted to have a device on hand so my dog could receive home therapy before and while I was gone (pet sitter applied). Chris from Flux health was fabulous! I received the P9 a few days before I left, so was able to get started on daily sessions with my dog, which were continued while I was away.

Unfortunately, my dog experienced a bit of a “weekend warrier” response and seems to have exascerbated an underlying issue. He experienced moderate mobility and balance issues shortly after treatment began. He continues to have some balance problems, but with continued treatment with the P9 and additional sessions with the Magnawave, he has returned to a high state of mobility and balance.

One hurdle I’ve been attempting to overcome is being able to provide extended, focued therapy. I started with using a harness to hold the P9 and using a elastic wrap to hold the coil(s), but that was not going to be good as a long term solution. I stumbled upon a friend mentioning a surgical recovery suit for dogs and decided that could be a great option. I began with creating a small pouch to hold the P9 and taping the coils to the various locations (it appeared I had stock in the blue tape company). This contraption has evolved into sewing 2" wide strips of industrial strength velcro along the spine and finding a hard sided, zippered box for the P9. I’m happy to say I’ve created some P9 pajamas for my dog that allows me to give him many hours of focused therapy while still allowing my dog much freedom.
