Official Stacking Guide

I have been trying to find an official guide on stacking.

Bob has mentioned “synchronisation” in relation to stacking, and also that if the coils are not stacked correctly, they end up cancelling each other out.

Using the M1, is there any difference in which sides of the 2 coils are put together?

Bob has mention that stacking creates a mushroom-like field. I’m wondering if there’s any info on the actual difference in width and depth, stacking vs. single coil?

Based on measurements, when you double the number of coils that are stacked (1 stacked to 2, or 2 stacked to 4), the peak magnetic field at any point along the axis formed by the coils is increased by about 60%. This is equivalent to saying the depth of penetration of the magnetic field is about 60% deeper.

Keep in mind though that about 95% of people seem to benefit more from reducing the intensity rather than increasing the intensity, especially when using ICES-PEMF near the head, neck, face, or eyes. No one believes me when I tell them this until they experience it for themselves.

I assume that when using the coils on the head (brain), I want to go deeper, not necessarily stronger. I understand that stacking increases the intensity, however, I simply turn down the power.

Can you offer any rule-of-thumb, on how deep the field goes? Stacked or not. I’m really curious if it’s 1 inch or multiple inches.

Also, is it possible to stack coils incorrectly? i.e. having the “wrong” sides agains each other?

Rule of thumb: penetration is not what you think it is.

We recently ran a study on hair growth. The most surprising result was that the PEMF hat insert was designed to generate a PEMF field only as deep as the scalp, only about 5 or 6 mm, to avoid having too much of an effect on the brain when the intended effect is to enhance hair health.

But the biological effects were remarkable, for hair health but also for very deep tissues. There were positive effects on things like migraine, TMJ, cervical spine pain, etc.

Supposedly the magnetic fields did not penetrate that deeply. But the effects were there.

So, rule of thumb I would say is depth of penetration does not seem to have much meaning. Tissues that are 5 or 6 or 8 inches deep respond when ICES-PEMF is applied to the surface.

My hypothesis: we are not attempting to focus energy to a single point deep in tissue. To get to the deep tissue, the PEMF first must travel through the less-deep tissues. As it does so, the PEMF promotes a low-inflammation tissue state that has a beneficial effect on all surrounding tissues, including deeper tissues.

The body is a highly interconnected system with many feedback loops, so this makes sense to me.

Hi @Bob, how can you quadruple-stack coils?

C5 or B5, you can stack up to 8 coils (4 PAIRS)

Bob never stops giving… Quote of the month

If you really have an effect on water in the cells or some cells, that could propagate the effects or relevant information or epi-genetic changes.

I think you have to differentiate between “bone healing”, so having a piezo-electric effect, or “information” medicine, which does work on other effects, like propagation through meridians or bio active areas,

Is it possible to stack coils incorrectly? i.e. having the “wrong” sides agains each other?

Yes!

What is the correct way of stacking?

I think it is explained in a lot of videos (e.g. https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/Ew1H4nglT0A) and here in the forum. You have to put the Bumpy-Sides together.
