I have a degenerative L5 vertebrae. Looking for some guidance on protocols but also how long per session and how many days a week.

Assuming you have a model M1, I would start with default settings:
Protocol = Omni-8
Intensity = 9
Use for at least 2 hours per day, longer is OK
Use every day
