The purpose of this post is to document the use of the M1 on an injury my wife sustained on her left foot. The hopes are that the M1 will help speed up the recovery and consequently help other ICES PEMF users. Hopefully this will be a positive addition to the body of anecdotal evidence.
As a side note, I was fortunate to have found an old video of Dr. Mercola & Dr. Dennis on Briteon talking about the M1 and this is where I learned about PEMF. I really like Bob’s concept of using lower power as a signaling method versus high power PEMF. It is quite ingenious and this is why I was keen to learn more about it. Thank you Bob for this technology.
I’ll start with a log of the events and if possible add X-rays and MRI images. Hopefully we’ll have X-rays after the recovery to show results… that is if the doctor is willing.
===============
May 1, 2025. Left foot injury occurred via a hard landing on the left foot from an approximate drop of 2 feet causing severe pain. We were not sure if it was a sprain or worse. However after 1 hour, she could no long bear any weight on it.
May 1, 2025: Went to Urgent care. Doctor ordered X-rays which showed a couple fractures and was referred to a Podiatrist. According to the doctor, one of the metatarsals and the intermediate cuneiform bone had minor fractures.
May 7, 2025: Visited The Foot and Ankle Sports Institute in Burbank: The Podiatrist (Dr. Randall) ordered an MRI because the foot looked like the Listfranc ligament was damaged and the metatarsal break was dislocated.
May 11, 2025: MRI taken.
May 13, 2025: Listfranc damage confirmed. Surgery scheduled.
May 23, 2025 Ordered ICES Micro-Pulse Model M1.
May 27, 2025: Surgery: One or two titanium rods were inserted to bind the foot together which should allow the Listfanc ligament to mend itself back together. Foot was placed in a splint with a thick layer of bandages.
May 31, 2025: Received the PEMF / ICES Model M1. Started use at 4:45pm. Coils were placed to the left and right side of the foot in an opposite-side configuration. Program set to Omni 8. Intensity set to 11 for the first hour, changed intensity to 12 for the second hour and then 13 for the remainder of the day. The battery was drained by 10:30pm. Replaced with a fully charged battery and continued the on Omni 8, Intensity 13, (Omni8/13).
June 1, 2025: At 1:00am, replaced battery and changed coil position. Placed on top of the foot to stimulate the mid foot right over the cuneiform bones. Lowered intensity to Omni8/12.
Battery died sometime between 6 or 7am.
June 1, 2025: At 8am: Replaced battery. Continued side-side configuration over the top of the foot. Omni8/12.
June 1, 2025: At 2pm, replaced battery. Placed coils to the left and right side of the foot in an opposite-side configuration. Left the settings at Omni8/12.
=========================
I will not continue to log battery changes and coil positions since it will most likely be similar to what has been noted above. Next, I will attempt to upload images of the foot for those who might be interested in them.
One more thing I forgot to mention. Since the accident, she’s been supplementing with bone/joint supplements from youngevity.com. The items are Gluco Gel Plus, Plant Derived Minerals and Ultimate Osteo FX. And after reading a few blogs here, we just picked up Multi Collagen Peptides by Code Age which containes 2100mg of Glycine. We added that to the nutrition yesterday along with Vitamin D3/k2 & NAC.
Hope to report positive results after the splint is removed. Next doctor visit is scheduled for June 6th.
