I was injured after riding inside my shipping container in an f4 tornado and have a Devine intervention story actually. However, I’ve had multiple spine injections and a few rhizotomies and with each rhizotomy as it wears off the pain is more intense. This time disabling. A friend loaned me the c5. I’m trying to learn how it works. Does it matter how long I wear these and can I sleep on the square pad all night? I’m pretty desperate for pain relief. The shift in my spine pulls my muscles tight and is on my sciatica that runs down the back of my leg, wraps around my knee, down my shin into my ankle to my feet and I know have radiant pain in my lower abdomen. My meniscus had to be removed as well on the same side as the nerve pain. Any information on this machine you can give me would be much appreciated. Feel free to reach out direct if needed.
@Christie_Edwards. Sorry to read of your injuries. In my opinion, the C5 and the other devices made by @Bob are among the best in the PEMF world. Not because they are the strongest, but because they are among the most effective. I don’t represent this forum – I’m just a member who purchased three of the devices Bob Dennis manufactures – a model B5 and two model M1s. The C5 is probably the best PEMF technology you will find for your injuries. Keep in mind, please, that this is only my opinion, and that the devices are experimental. They are not FDA approved for pain management. But that does not mean they do not work for pain manangement.
I also have L4-L5 sciatica through my left facet joints. At times in the past ten years it has been disabling, meaning there have been times it has dropped me to the floor in pain. Thankfully, the B5 has helped me. I still have back pain periodically, but most of the time it doesn’t hurt. But when it does, I try to take the time to lie down for a day or two and wear the pad on my back, right over where the nerves are damaged (over the facet joints on the left side of my spine) for a while. I tuck the pad under the elastic of my underwear to hold it in place and try to wear it for 8-10 hours a day.
Sometimes the PEMF makes me feel “jumpy” after wearing it for several hours. When that happens I take a break for a while, and even perhaps until the next day. I don’t know why that happens but it does help to take a break and then come back to it later. Do NOT give up on this technology. Dr. Dennis’ devices were created to help with pain, and they have done that for me.
The B5 and C5 each have four ports for plugging in coils. I use the pads that are made up of four coils each, and stack four of these on top of each other. I attach these four pads together with the holes aligned as closely as possible and either tape them together or use tie-wraps (cable ties) to hold them together. Don’t make the tie wraps too tight, though, because the wire inside the coils is very small and can be damaged.
