Injury with stitches

Hello, I am new here and I have been creeping on this forum for some time. I had an injury, a wound on my shin that took on 20 stitches. Would the A9 or M1 be best to help with regenerating the tissue in hopes of it not leaving a nasty scar? I am a massage therapist and have also been wondering if this would be good to use on a client with back pain and shoulder pain, it is my understanding that one needs to use this more than just one hour? Thank you

Sorry to hear of your injury. Do you still have stitches or are they removed? A9 or M1 help me heal the injury / tissue. Then I have found the following to be helpful: red/infrared light (after stitches removed) plus daily applying a scar cream to help diminish the scar as much as possible.

I could be misattributing this, but I felt like using red/infrared light with stitches on my skin increased the visibility of the scar from the stitch itself (I could see stitch pattern), which is why I settled on the above when I had another set of stitches.

Thank you. Yes this is fresh, stitches yesterday and I was going to do my red light as well, but I think I will wait until the stitches are out. I have not bought a device yet and was thinking about it in hopes that it will help. Thanks again for your reply

I own this one. It has significant power, it has red light and infrared light. The only thing is the heat sink to keep it cool is a bit sharp so don’t put it on its side on wood furniture or it may scratch it. But if you keep it in its box when not using it, then that isn’t an issue. https://www.amazon.com/ABI-Light-Therapy-660nm-Class/dp/B07SH39YT4

I have had surgeries in which scar tissue would not heal properly including one small scar from a cholecystectomy day surgery. Doctors couldn’t understand it, but in hindsight I think it was exacerbated by my fibromyalgia: for several years it would glow bright red every time I was under stress and feel like a knife stabbing into me!

After some research, I tried smearing it with magnesium oil I mixed myself from distilled water and magnesium chloride. After a couple of weeks, the scar faded so much that you can barely see it now and I don’t get the pain any more.

A word of warning, magnesium oil stings when applied on open wounds – so wait until the wound is completely closed before applying. I’ve since used it on other larger surgery scars to fade the scars with the same effect – literally melts the scars so you can barely notice them. Mind, it does not get rid of them entirely, only fades them.

As for back and shoulder pain, I get that a lot from FM and the PEMF works too. Unfortunately, PEMF is not a quick fix, you have to be persistent. and the problem is attaching the coils when targeting the shoulders. try using the elastic belt to hold it in place. I’ve been sleeping with the coils in place.
