Hip replacement. M1?

I’ve just had a hip replacement a few days ago and looking to use PEMF to help with recovery

I’ve got a full body pad I’ll use once a day but want to specifically help with a lot of quad tightness and spasming overnight. My leg is now 2cm longer so the muscles and nerves are having to stretch a little!

I have the M1 which is a bit limited on the area it can cover. I’m just using 2 coils spaced out over the front of the quads for now on Omni 8, power 10. Using it overnight and for a few hours in the day

Any other tips to help?

For my hip replacements, I used an M1 with coils stacked, directly over the point on the front of my hips where the surgical incision was.

“area of coverage” does not really seem to be of primary importance. Focal PEMF seems to work a lot more like acupuncture, not like a tanning booth. Acupuncture is not more effective with a larger needle, or taken to an absurd extreme: a “whole-body” needle.

That’s an interesting view, hadn’t thought like that . Actually I hadn’t gone anywhere near the joint as it was the quads below that were tight but might try that and see how it compares

Good to know I have the right tools!
