This is “creative”. Frequency generator coupled to an regular audio power amplifier where the output drive the self-wound copper coils. I would not touch such a thing or consider it “PEMF”.

You have no idea what it does. It uses a lot of power. You have no clue if it is unipolar, bipolar. If it is unipolar - then which polarity?
People miss the fact, that unipolar treatment is different from weighted bipolar treatment, like ICES.
North and south pole magnetism are not created equal.
Thats a big coil with unknown characteristics. Probably to the the 8/16 Ohms, because otherwise it would shorten the amplifier.

I purchased everything separately around 2012 on advice of a guy from a forum (don’t remember the forum).

I did use it regularly around 2012. My health improved a lot during that time but I wasn’t sure if it was due to this or something else. I have ME/CFS after a bout of Epstein Barr. When tradition medicine lacks the knowledge and treatments, and you are a shadow of what you once were, some of us will try anything.
I don’t know what it does. But I did use it regularly for a while. My health hasn’t been as good as it was since 2012 (when I was using it). Not sure if this is what improved my health or if it was something else I was trying at the time. But I am thinking about trying it again.
I Hope not. Lol. I used to put that coil against my stomach, chest, and head. Since I last used this I have had neck surgery and now have some metal in my neck. Was planning on avoiding my head and neck areas if I try it again as I’m not sure of what this does.
Yes, I want to try it out again as I felt so much better in 2012 when I was using this. It’s possible it was a coincidence and something else I was doing improved my health, but I’m curious and unhealthy, so was thinking about giving it another go.
I was hoping someone on this forum might speculate what it does and how it works. And any possible risks using it.
If you have used it and felt good - then thats it. Issue is, that you have to setup the function generator and choose a frequency, a wave pattern, the offset and the level. Its a lot of parameters you can enter. Also you have Switches A-Q - what do they do?
If you have a specific local problem I would use ICES.
Regarding the metal: Is it stainless non-magnetic steel oder titanium? If you have something which can be magnetized I would not use PEMF or magnets at that place.

Thanks everyone who commented. This is a Doug Coil Rife machine. I found the instructions online. And with Brian’s help I was able to get all the wires attached!
