Is possible to peel the coil rubber casing back and attempt to either solder where the wire has broke or solder a new wire ( BNTECHGO 26 Gauge PVC 1007 Electric Wire Green) recommended by Bob?

hi yes i have done it but if the coil itself has been damage it can be tricky rewinding it, you cake make a former with card about 37mm diameter which helps
Sure, you can try that. It does require skill with a soldering iron, but that is certainly something you can try to do.
Thank you. I can tell the damage is where the wire enters the coil. I can jiggle it and temporarily it will connect.
