Can P9 be used w/2x2 coil array mat?

Can new P9 be used with 2x2 coil array mat like C5? Or not enough power? Thanks much.

No, the P9 only has 1 connection port, and the mat requires 4. You can use 1 2X2 coil but not the mat with the 4 of them.

If you refer to the single 2*2 Coil then yes. Also the 9V Li-battery supplies more power as I remember @Bob telling here. The M1 batteries are quite limited.

Yes, @hcf is correct. P9 + 9V battery + 2x2 coil array works well.

So, a little off topic but, can you mitigate the M1 battery weakness (3.3V) by using the Mini USB power connector (5V) and a power supply? @hcf @Bob

Yes.

Thanks @Bob, I suspected as much. I just wasn’t certain the difference between the 9V and the 5V would make, but I figured since the B5 & C5 are powered by 5V and can run the 4 2x2s the M1 & P9 would also do fine with 5V power & the 2x2 array.

Yes. With a powerbank.

And I would not call it weakness. Its was a design decision and 2-3h “runtime” and the ultra-portability is cool for my uses.

Have a P9 now, too - but it is much larger. The reason I have it is the embedded stacked coil with approx. 20% more intensity combined with 2- times the runtime. Time will tell if I really use it more than the M1.

I have the A9 (which I love), and a P9, and I was recently able to pick up a lightly used M1 in Germany (got that while I was working in France (had it shipped to, a friend & colleague in Germany) who is bringing it to me in Switzerland tonight where we will be working this week. I put a clip on my A9, and I really miss having that when using the P9. I have been traveling since July so I haven’t had time to play around with different ideas for the P9 yet, though I did order a couple of the Mini USB cables to be able to power both the M1 & P9 via USB, which I’m happy with.
