Bob...others..kidney disease

Hi all…
After reading about the cat study concerning kidney disease on Dr. Jones veterinary secrets website I started looking into pemf. Fortunately in his article he linked to the study and to the device (a9). All of which brought me to micro pulse and to this forum.

I know Bob has posted 2 stories about the a9 being used in cats. One being I think by his brother. He placed the coils over each kidney for 20 to 30 min or so a few times a week and the other was where coils were placed underneath another cat. Both resulted in positive results.

I have my a9 for approximately a week. What I had been doing is placing the square coil pad under her bed. I took out the cushion and put that under the bed. I put the coil pad on top of the cushion and the bed on top of that so there is only a thin, think thin like a sheet between the coil and Baby, that’s her name… I treat her daily for an average of an hour on the medium setting.

What I have done for the past 2 days as of 7/2 is laying the set up in the attached file directly over her kidneys for an hour.

Which brings me to questions as to whats been most successful.

When I ordered the a9 I called and asked questions pertaining to what it would be used for. I was told 3…4 or more hours daily But in the 2 documented case studies it wasn’t for that long. So I’m not sure what has proven most successful.

I have read through the forum and haven’t really found the answer.
I read through the thread of the older guy who was using pemf for his kidneys with good results but then his numbers were going back up. He was using it for long periods of treatment. Which makes me wonder.maybe longer treatment periods causes a tolerance build up. That thread ended in 2024 I think, so I don’t know what happened in the end.

My questions are
this is more geared to Bob because as he’s written he’s been told of successes with cats but they didn’t post…but PLEASE anybody who has information feel free to reply.

1)Out of the 6 cases you are familiar with what was the most successful protocol?
Daily for longer periods, a few times a week for long periods or was the most successful approach duplicating the 2 studies, shorter time for a few days a week?

  1. were the rings over the kidneys more successful than the square underneath or no difference?

  2. if using the square would longer periods be better because there is a greater distance between the pad and the kidneys?

As an aside…I used the a9 on myself for my hip, I get a bit of soreness from squats. The next day and since then it’s been fine.

My fiance has knee issues. Discomfort at lockout some pain when pressing on the patella of her right side…

She used it on the right side, sandwiched for approximately an hour and the next day she had no discomfort. She decided to treat that knee again as well as the left.
The next day the knee treated twice (the right one) was painful.
I think it was to soon re treat, maybe to much to soon, I don’t know. Btw it was on the medium
setting.

Cat kidney disease definitely needs a lot more user data and user anecdotal reports. At this point I don’t have enough information to answer your questions. But I have a lot of general data and experience, so I ca tell you what I think would work best.

Keep in mind: people do things very often not because they are “optimal”, but rather because they are “possible”. In my brother’s case, he only used the A9 on his cat for 20 to 30 minutes, two or three times per week simply because he works a lot and is an extremely busy person. That is just the most he could fit into his very busy schedule.

Based on my general observations and anecdotal reports (thousands over the past two decades), I will speculate . This is what I think would work best, but of course I could be wrong:

Don’t use too much power. This is a biological recovery process, not an energy-driven chemical process. On the A9, I would use a power setting of “M”.

Holding coils by hand: Place one single coil over each kidney of the cat. Review cat anatomy to verify where the kidneys are if you are not sure.

Coils placed under bedding: just place the 2x2 coil array under where your cat’s kidneys are likely to be when it sleeps.

Use the device as frequently as you can, for as long as you can. If your cat is uncomfortable, it will wriggle out and run away. If so, reduce intensity or duration or both.

Bob thank you for such a speedy reply!
I to am limited by time which is why I made that sort of harness.

I drape that over her with a coil on each side pretty much where seems to me to be the location of the kidneys. Pretty sure according to pics I’m very close, if not spot on.

So I will leave that on her as often as possible while I am home and awake that way I can check to be sure that it’s still in place and that she hasn’t dragged everything off somewhere.

Over night I can use the 2x2 under her bedding.

I refashioned the make shift harness with a bit of string, again its just draped over her with coils properly facing the body

Btw should I add to thread that was started quite some time ago where you detailed what your brother did and asked others to post or should I start a new thread with current labs and labs that are scheduled in around 3 weeks along with whatever else I am doing?

Currently I am doing a couple of things and will be adding some supps so results may not only be based on the use of pemf.

I know a real experiment would be using just the pemf and reporting reaults but naturally I can’t do that

My opinion: do what works, adjust and refine it, no need to try to run a “controlled experiment”. The variables probably do not act independently anyway. In fact, I suspect that PEMF enhances the effect of supplements. This is based on my observations, as well as the observations of several clinicians who have reported their observations to me. In particular, naturopathic doctors have remarked to me several times that “PEMF just seems to make their nutritional interventions work better”, and one said “using your PEMF, the supplements I had my mother take finally started to do what I knew they should be doing”.

My point is, many things act synergistically, so separating them to sort out their effects is probably counter-productive. Trying to separate them out for an experiment would be as silly as asking “which one is good for you: sunshine, exercise, clean water, or whole food?”

I know that is a ridiculous example, and its meant to be to make my point: To figure out what really works, combine things that work well together. When you see a major improvement, stick with it.

Specifically for what your cat would benefit from, I would speculate that PEMF + supplements would work together in synergy, maybe by the mechanism that PEMF allows cellular functions and tissue structures to recover normal function, and one important aspect of normal function is the absorption and utilization of nutrients.

My suggestion: combine what you think will work best, adjust it as you see fit, then tell us the details of what you did and what you observed. And you should feel good about using that approach.

My 2 cents
