Anxiety Reduction from ICES M1?

There is an endless variety of clothing, bags, and accessories on-line (such as TEMU, amazon, etc.) where you can get small pouches, bags, cases, bandages, compression sleeves, wraps, braces, elastic skull caps, tape, face masks, endless types of medical dressings and fixtures, etc. Everyone needs something different for their individual injury/intended use, but the available variety is enormous, and the prices are usually extremely low.

I am just wondering how the trials are going with folks using the P9 for anxiety? I was excited about buying one, but found that the price was a bit higher than my current finances allowed. My interest hasn’t waned, however, and I am slowly saving up in hopes of making the purchase in the near future.
For those of you who were able to try the device, what are your thoughts and experiences so far?

I am also very interested to get feedback on how people are using the P9, and how they are responding to it.

Keep in mind: the P9 does not do anything special beyond the M1 or A9, except that it allows you to use internal coils, so you do not need to use coils plugged in with a cable. If you want exactly the same biological effect: tape together a pair of coils bumpy-side to bumpy-side, then place this over the area you wanted to stimulate with a P9. Then wear it around most of the day while the effects are circulated throughout your body.

My thinking was to use the P9 on high blood flow areas, such as neck, hip near femoral artery, other areas with high blood flow.

Just so you know, I decided to bite the financial bullet and ordered the P9. I am really excited to try it out and my husband is as well. One thing I am wondering is whether we need to keep it on for hours, or would shorter sessions also be beneficial? Do you have any data or insights to share, or is this a question to throw out to the group - or simply experiment with myself?

My sense is that it is most likely to yield the best effects if used at low intensity for very long periods (essentially continuously) every day. But I think it depends on your individual sensitivity and responsiveness to PEMF, the anatomic location you plan to use the device on, as well as the biological effects you will be monitoring and the outcomes you wish to achieve.

That makes this so individualized that I recommend you start low and slow: 10 or 15 minutes at a medium intensity to start, progressively increasing duration, and then intensity, to monitor how well you respond to it, and whether or not you think you are starting to get an effect that you want.

Then, to be as helpful as possible to as many other people as possible, please feel free to touch base back here again, describe what you did and the observations and effects you observe.

If enough people do this (and as of yet, they have not) we can begin to see patterns of use and the resulting biological effects, taken in aggregate over a large population.

I was super interested in trying the P9, but given I am based in Germany, customer service was a bit hesistant to ship the prototype there… So after reading the description, I thought i can probably achieve pretty much the same by making the M1 a bit more handy to use. So I did exactly what you suggested (a) a stacked-coil taped together, and (b) a side-by-side coil taped on a customer bonus card clipping either of them to my M1.
Having the Side by side setup in my trouser pocket (i.e. Femur area) for a couple of days hasnt really had much impact in my person opinion. I will now use the stacked config and see if that change anything. Afterwards, will try different areas (prob neck to also get maybe side effects from VNS…)

very good, definitely let us know what you observe, thanks.

Quick interim update: Think I found a spot that indeed has profound positive effects in terms of wellbeing and energy through the day: I have started putting a double-coil setup on my chest (right on the solar plexus) and I am getting quite consistent results now… However, not sure if it is „energizing the blood“ or rather a VagusNS effect, like a couple of other people noticed when putting it on the belly… Will keep you posted!

That is excellent, thanks. If you want to test which is happening, you might move the coil stack up or down the path of the Vagus nerve along its length.

at the standard power 8 right?

@mb69 i have had similar results at first but i placed at naval and at night. will try to place higher at solar plexus (and up along the vn side by side line Bob suggested)… at naval I’ve had maybe 6-7 out of 11 times similar results.

I can confirm your findings what you have noticed that that any part of the body affects the entire body in subtle way.

I noticed this many times over the years using A9 and I stumbled across it exactly the same way, when I initially put the coil on one specific part of the body where it was needed most, and overnight it slipped away far from where it was intended to be, yet I noticed an overall great feeling of better energy in all aspects, all over, regardless.

From my experience it does not seem to be because of blood circulation because when I tried it on major artery points, I didn’t notice that it makes that much difference although I tried it because I expected that it would matter but it didn’t seem to matter much.

My feeling is that ANY 1 part of the body affects all other parts because of many vast interconnecting networks throughout the entire body where any one part is interconnected with all other parts such as for example the Vagus Nerve, and entire CNS System, various energy meridians, lymphatic system, and many other such networks…

My strongest feeling is that it’s because of the Fascia which interconnects the entire surface of the entire body and thearfore any one point in the body affects all other points.

In other words, I believe that indirect benefit which we find where ANY one part of the body beneficially affects all other parts of the body, most likely, this is related to the concepts described by George Roth and his approach in Matrix Repatterning.

I think that is a very reasonable way to think about it. I notice the same general effects that you have observed too.

One small bullet can kill an entire organism. One tiny acupuncture needle can result in overall healing and benefit. I would go so far as to say that it is impossible to do something to one small part of the system without having effects throughout the system. I do not know the mechanism, but the effects are clearly observable.

I am finally getting ready to start and wondering which protocols/programs folks have been using for inflammation and anxiety? For now, I’m going to try Schumann 4 as I saw Bob mention that in a different post, but would love to hear what others are using. Thanks! I’m going to cross-post this in the P9thread to get the most responses - hope that’s okay, Bob.

sure, a reasonable amount of cross-posting is reasonable. But when impatient people blast every topic on the forum for their special question, they generally get warned, then blocked. This has only happened a couple of times. Most people on this forum are reasonable.

I actually seem to get best results with Schuhmann 1 at fairly high power of 12-14!

Also think upper area works a bit better in terms of overall wellbeing on a day to day basis (vs naval area). My hypothesis: better stimulates upper parasympathetic nervous system (usually associated with good social interaction) than lower parasympathetic nervous system (usually associated with calm relaxation/ sleep).

Can you be more specific about the upper area you are using?

center of chest - right on top of solar plexus!

However, after a couple of weeks I think there is a bit of habituation (feel less benefit than at the beginning), so will probably keep shifting it a bit.

Hi Bob, this is my first comment on this page. I have fibromyalgia, PTSD and anxiety. I’m wondering if I can switch between channels for daytime and night time use. I wanted to use the settings that you suggested for M1 for fibromyalgia during the day and use different settings at night for anxiety. Is that something that is commonly done? Also, I work from home and wanted to know if it would be safe to plug in the M1 to the mini USB-B to an extension cord or would it have to be directly to a wall outlet. Thank you in advance.

Hi @Pj_Ekhator, Sure, you can change pulse protocols any time that you turn the M1 on. If you don’t select a new pulse pattern within 16 seconds, the M1 will just run the same pattern it was running the last time it was turned on. I change pulse patterns all the time for different situations, for example, at night, I tend to use lower intensity and frequency. Also, a USB mini-B extension cord will work well. About the only limitation is that you need to power the M1 from a battery or a wall USB charger, but not from a USB on a computer.

Thank you so much for your response Bob, this is super helpful! I’m gonna be purchasing it today! One more thing I wanted to ask: can I use a portable charger for M1 instead of a battery if I need mobility but for some reason my batteries aren’t charged?

Thanks again! I’m really looking forward to using the M1 for my pain
